Plans this Friday Night? Don’t worry we have you covered. It’s our LAST Family Movie Night of the year and we’ll be showing Trolls! This is a great family movie and doors to the gym will open at 6pm.
Our new 4th Grade Swim Program started today! To see the kids smiles and comfort grow as they got used to the water, was incredible. Academics are important, but so are life skills like swimming.
This program was made possible because of one of our determined parents and PTA member, Lisa Michelet, our amazing 4th grade teachers, Juanita staff, and with a grant from the PTA this idea turned into reality. This is just one example of how our PTA helps to fund and enrich our kids educational experience.
Our 1st Cultural Night was so much fun! We loved celebrating the diverse cultures that make-up our Juanita community. Thanks to all our families that shared a piece of their culture, read stories to our families, or helped with international crafts. Also thank you to our local LWSD students that showed us a traditional Persian dance and also to the dancers with the International Ballet Theatre, that donated their time.
Fathers Day Breakfast is quickly approaching. We are in need of donations of baked goods and other items to make this event special for our kids and their fathers. Please go to our sign up genius to sign up. For all those fathers out there, please RSVP to join us for this fun event so we have enough food. It is a free event but cash donations are welcome.
Another great night for our school. Proud of our Juanita Elementary School choir for doing a beautiful job of singing the National Anthem at the Mariners game last night.

Thank you to everyone that came our to our annual McTeacher Night. Juanita Elementary School has some of the most giving educators who all donated their time tonight. Our community is so lucky to have these teachers at our school. To all the families that stopped by to eat or just make a donation, thank you for making this evening such a successful one. Finally thank you to Juanita McDonalds for supporting our students and a local school.
Last night at our awards night and final general PTA meeting of the year we had the honor of presenting some awards. We are proud to have these individuals a part of our Juanita community.❤️
Staff Appreciation Week begins next Monday! We have had a tremendous show of support for our food and drink donations, but we would love to be able to provide more Staff Jag Prizes for our daily giveaways! If you have any gift items, gift certificates, sports or event tickets, etc that you would be willing to donate, please contact Sue or Shannon at juanitaelpta-hospitality.com. There are also a few items left on our sign up genius for food donations, so please check out the list here if you can bring something:
We are looking forward to celebrating our teachers and staff next week. Thanks to everyone for making this week possible.
Our 3rd annual Clothing and Textile drive with Clothes for the Cause and our Kirkland community was our most successful one yet. Together our school community along with the families at Mark Twain, Peter Kirk and A.G. Bell brought in 1,405 bags of clothing and textile items to be reused or recycled. These are all items that will be kept out of our growing national landfills. Thank you to everyone that volunteered, donated items and worked together to spread the word and make a difference!
Our Earth Day Clothing and Textile Drive is quickly approaching. So far we have collected nearly 400 bags and are making good progress. However, our goal is 1000 bags or 3 bags per student.
Together we can make this happen. Talk to your neighbors, share our flyer on social media or email your family and friends. It’s spring and everyone likes to purge, while also helping out kids and our planet. In the meantime keep collecting and help us keep those items out of our national landfills.
Looking for a fun way to help? Carnival is coming to Juanita Elementary School on Friday, April 28th from 6-8:30pm and we need volunteers to run it! We need people (6th grade and up) to run games, serve food, paint faces, and take pies in the face (men only). The night has been divided into 2 shifts, so you can work a shift and still have time to enjoy carnival with your family. It’s a Where’s Waldo theme so make sure to wear Red and White!
Please go to http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080d49a5a82ba4f94-wheres to sign up today!
Keep filling those garbage bags full of new or used clothing and textiles. Our 3rd Annual Clothes for the Cause Clothing and Textile Drive is in full swing. Our goal is to collect 1000 filled garbage bags and we need your help!
