Hot Cocoa Bombs Fundraiser to Support Outdoor Ed

It’s officially fall, the air is crisp, and it’s time to cozy down with Juanita El hot chocolate bombs!
Our friends at The Coffee Stand (right next to The Game restaurant on 100th) have created custom red and white cocoa bombs, with $1 from every $5 sale going to Juanita El 5th Grade Outdoor Education. Outdoor Ed is an extraordinary and much-anticipated 5th grade camp tradition.

These custom-made treats are available by pre-order only. Pre-order your hot chocolate bombs by this Thursday, September 30 for pickup at The Coffee Stand on Saturday, October 2. Scan the QR code in the flyer below with your phone camera and tap the link to pre-order, or click HERE to pre-order.
In addition, The Coffee Stand will be selling coffee by the pound all week and will feature an Italian soda special for kids (and, let’s face it, parents too!) on Friday, October 1. 10% of proceeds from these items also benefit Juanita El Outdoor Education.
All details, QR code, photo of the excellent treats, and The Coffee Stand address in the image below.

2020-2021 PTA Wrap up

Congratulations to our 5th Graders who are moving up to Middle School. We will miss you and wish you all the best.
We hope all our Juanita staff, students and community have a wonderful Summer Break. We will continue to post events and resources over the summer on our Juanita El Facebook page.
As the 2020-2021 school year comes to an end, the PTA board wanted to say thank you to our members for being a part of the PTA through this very unusual year. We were not able to be an on campus presence this year, but we are proud that our organization was able to help our Juanita staff, students, and community in the following ways:
  • Provided emergency funding to the LWSF’s Pantry Pack Program.
  • Purchased yearbooks for every Juanita Student (remote and in person) this year.
  • Created and distributed a student directory to every student (remote and in person) to help families connect during remote learning.
  • Provided a stipend to every classroom to help cover supply costs.
  • Approved a grant to cover the expense of adding books from more diverse authors and with more inclusive and diverse characters.
  • Provided funds to cover the cost of virtual field trips.
  • Provided funds for Field Day Swag Bags
  • Treated our staff to goodies and surprises during Staff Appreciation Week.
We hope that when school starts in the fall, the PTA will be able to resume our on campus programs, volunteering, and holding student and community events. Thank you again to all of our members for supporting the school, staff and community. Have a wonderful summer!
